According to the report of 9to5Google, Google has updated its support page, in which it has been said that to run Google Wallet, Android 9.0 or higher version will be required, due to which it will not be able to work on hundreds of phones.
In which Android versions will Google Wallet not work?
Google has stopped releasing security updates in versions older than Android 9.0, due to which the risk of hacking increases due to lack of security updates in these phones. Regarding this, Google wrote on its support page that it is very important to have security updates to make the features of the wallet more secure, but security updates are not available for Android versions below 9.0.
How different is this app from Google Pay?
According to Google, the company said that Android users can safely store their cards, movie tickets, boarding passes, keys and IDs through Google Wallet. This will be completely different from Google Pay app. Google Pay is used to manage money and finance.
Google claims that wallets will make your daily tasks easier. Google Wallet has tied up with 20 big brands in India. These include PVR Inox, Air India, Indigo, Flipkart, Pine Labs, Kochi Metro and Abhibus.
